Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Full Time
$168,000 Base Annual Salary
26 weeks off per year

-Perform a comprehensive patient history and physical

-Conduct preanesthesia evaluation

-Obtain informed consent for anesthesia

-Develop and initiate a patient-specific plan of care

-Administer various types of anesthesia per evidence-based practice including pre- and post-operative care, and maintenance/operation of anesthesia department

-Assist in providing 24/7/365 anesthesia coverage for surgical, Emergency Room, Obstetrical and Pain Management patients, including selecting the appropriate form of anesthesia administration and providing continuity of care

-Maintain department for maximum effectiveness, including staffing, budgeting, equipment, supplies and operating policies and procedures with reflection of current evidenced-based practice

-Conduct monthly evaluation and process improvement of anesthesia services according to pre-established QI measurements, the quality and appropriateness of anesthesia care both pre- and post-operatively as well as the safety regulations for the department

-Review log of all cases requiring anesthesia, ensuring documentation of date and occurrence time in PACU log

-Inspect and evaluate anesthetic equipment on a daily basis to provide a safe anesthetic environment and assist in updating the anesthesia equipment, to be current with standards of the medical community

-Act as a consultant in all measures concerning anesthesia services and participate on a regular basis as instructor in the hospital program for continuing education.

-Participate in assigned committees and meetings, providing anesthesia input



-Graduate of an accredited college or university nursing program and Anesthesia program

-Current Registered Nurse and anesthetist license from the State of Oregon

-Current licensing or re-certification from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists

-Special Requirements/Licenses: Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC/NRP (optional), TNCC, certificates within one year of signed contract


-Three (3) years hospital anesthesia experience in all forms of anesthetic care
